058 WGF

Nothing motivates like a deadline.

At the end of this month – Saturday - my Colorado license plates expire. Seeing as I am supposed to be a Texas resident by now, I finally made it down to the DMV to register my car. The nice thing is that the initial fee here is half as much as it was in Boulder County, and the renewal fee here is about a third as much as it was there. Not too bad. It’s a little sad to say good-bye to the green mountains and replace them with the red and blue star of Texas, but I suppose the longer I'm here and form what feels like community that it won’t be that scary to say that I live in Texas.

Next up, maybe, a Texas Driver’s License...but I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to add “y’all” to my vocabularly...

My registration DOUBLED when I moved to Texas from Ohio. And welcome to the state... officially. :)

At least you know how to spell y'all - there are many Texans who have difficulty with this.
